China State Shipbuilding Corporation setting up R&D centre for carbon neutral fuels
China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Marine Power Carbon Neutral development and research center was established at Shanghai.
Acting as a research and development unit under CSSC, the centre will focus on technology development, application and implementation of reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutral fuels to promote green, low-carbon and circular development.
The centre will combine the internal and external research advantages for developing low carbon and zero carbon power engines and green manufacture, to establish a whole marine power industry chain servicing for high quality development of CSSC and the nation.
Earlier this year, China announced the plan to achieve peak CO2 emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060.
